The Spaniola Family est. 2013

Our small farm in Clio Michigan is family owned and operated. Spaniola Greenhouses was est. in 2016 as small garden center that offered annual and perennial flowers and garden starter plants along side a limited selection of, fresh from the garden, vegetables.
After a couple years of using nature and science to build healthy garden soil, we added two more greenhouses, began vegetable production and formed our first CSA program, while scaling down our ornamental plant propagation.
We closed our garden center in 2020 so we could focus on staying safe (covid) while further developing our CSA program. Now we have a great "farm to table" program for our community.
Tom and Jenn
After meeting in 2011, Tom and I moved to our farm in Clio and were married in 2013. Construction on the farm began immediately. We needed to turn vacant field into livestock housing suitable for our horses, which included clearing long paths through thorny brush and woods to build pasture fencing and burying 100' of plumbing underground to reach the barns. We built our first and still favorite greenhouse in 2015. Tom designed and built the entire structure piece by piece. Jenn can be found in there every day doing this or that for the farm, sun, rain or snow.
